TeleNav Support

AT&T - BlackBerry 8700c

Update Instructions

The current version of TeleNav for this BlackBerry requires BlackBerry software version 4.1.0.320 or later. To check your 8700c, go to Options (the wrench icon), and then About. Read the third line of the display. If the number you see precedes 4.1.0.320, you will need to update your 8700c.

There are several steps to the update process.

  1. Follow the link to AT&T's site, and select BlackBerry in the operating system window. Click here to download.
  2. On the software downloads page, click on "Download" for "BlackBerry handheld software ... RIM 8700c"
  3. Provide your personal data in the RIM Eligibility Questionnaire, and then click the download button.
  4. Save the download in your downloads folder on your PC.
  5. After the download is completed, start the BlackBerry desktop software that came on the CD with your BlackBerry.
  6. Connect the BlackBerry to your PC using the USB cable.
  7. Using the instruction manual that came with your BlackBerry, install the new RIM software into your BlackBerry from your downloads folder.
NOTE: This may take a half hour or so. Click here to get update instructions in a PDF file.
